Objectives are the specific targets that need to be achieved in order for your outcome to be reached. There can be a number of objectives for each outcome. Objectives should be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely.
Your objectives should always be informed by your AEDI results, along with additional information gathered earlier in the planning phase (data, community consultation information and evidence).
Examples of objectives:
- To increase the use of the local library by families with children aged 0-5 years by 20% over the next 3 years.
- To achieve 95% preschool participation in all suburbs, but particularly in suburbs with lowest participation over the next 3 years.
- To ensure 80% of children are actively involved in a transition to school program over the next 3 years.
